Headache

Why does volunteering at the Maritime give me a headache? It seriously happens each week. This was my 4th session there and got back into categorising papers and photographs. I would have added my tasks to my resume except it has some sort of virus and my anti-virus software wants me to pay to use it. No way! Everything needed to fix your computer should be free unless you can't find someone to do it for you. SNERT is here so I can ask James to take a look at it quickly. It might take ages to fix though. One day I'll get a new computer when I know how much ram and that kind of stuff to watch out for. I want high speeds but have no idea what all their hard drive specifications mean. You can tell, can't you.

I can't wait for my SARK posters to arrive in the mail, as well as my museum text books so I can start studying. I just want to be productive and start studying now so I know at least something before the course starts. I want to be working towards something and be using my time for something productive as opposed to wasting it by watching too much TV. One day in the next few weeks I will write to Danielle and get some advice about how to improve my life by getting into good habits.

Tomorrow I'm going to go to the catalogue man's place and get started. I'll probably go out on a Monday and do the catalogue drop as I don't usually do much on a Monday. It'll be nice to start the week off that way too. I had a dream about dropping catalogues last night. I haven't even done it and I'm dreaming about it. I think it'll be good to make a little bit of money while taking a walk. Easy cash. It'll add up.

Christmas presents

This year I'm starting early for Christmas presents. Last year I started too late and spent all my savings and by the New Year I was broke and sad. I'm not going to make that mistake again!

I have just found Georgie's Christmas and birthday presents on-line. The SARK posters were hard to track down in the beginning but today I just did a Google search and there they were. I'm getting 2 for George, and 2 for me. Her birthday is in early December so I'll give her one then and one for Christmas. She got me a SARK book for my birthday or for Christmas one year and they are fabulous. She has one poster but I think she, and I, need more. They are a great find and have wonderful messages. I'm going to get some more of her books too. I was thinking of getting G a book as well as the poster but it all depends on the price range. $50 is the limit this year for Christmas presents so I'll stick to that. I don't want to be poor.

I know what I'm getting my brother. I know what I'm getting my sister for her birthday but not for Christmas. Mum will want some books and I might get dad a vegetable garden book from the ABC shop. He usually puts up good lists for us to go off.

Anyway, I'm off to volunteer at the Maritime again. Then hopefully it's just straight home for a Margate dinner, unless I'm needed at work. Dom cut his hand badly last night so it depends on him. So yes, heading out the door now!

Time to move again

Mum just cleaned my room over in the shed! It's all ready for me, except the bed isn't made [easy done], so I will start moving things over there after I shower. I probably won't move my TV or desk, just little things I don't need in my big house room. I'll keep using the TV/DVD player and my desk/laptop and some clothes/shoes, but there is a lot of excess junk I need to move and sort. I want to get organised!

There is a lovely bean bag over there that I might sit in and read. I want to get candles set up for some ambiance, something a little special. I want to set up the Leg Magic and get organised for exercise. I want to make the room pretty and my haven. It'll nice to truly have my own space. There is a lot of junk to sort through, things I don't need or use, so that will be a constant task. We've always said it should be done but it never gets attacked.

I'm going to set up my 18th birthday present -- my CD player. I'll put Jeff Buckley in. It will be very useful since my MP3 player has decided not to work. I should have music on a lot. I also want to do more crafting. I need to work on my covered buttons and I want to get some great vintage fabrics [harder and stronger than felt] to make some rice balls with. They will be so cute. I will foster my creativity over there. I shall!

I want to try and keep my room as organised and neat as possible. This one in the big house is too small and easy to get messy as is constantly seen. More room will be nice. I think I'll move everything over on Wednesday and some of it today. Thursday I should be able to start my exercise regime. That is my goal. I'm very excited about moving over there actually, and the sooner the better. I have to move over for when Jan and Fra arrive from the UK [my dads' sisters] but I may as well do it now. Independence!

I have 4 shifts at thebeach for next week -- Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I also have Monday at the Maritime and Tuesday-day at the Melbourne Cup. Wednesday and Thursday will be left to settle into the shed/little house. I think it will be a good week.

SARK

I have been revisiting my love for SARK lately, a creative genius who writes these amazing books and posters that make you want to be just as creative as she. I want to get some of her posters and I want to buy Georgie one for her birthday and/or Christmas.

I want her --
+ How To Be An Artist poster;
+ Invite Someone Dangerous To Tea poster; and
+ Birthday Blessings poster.

I can't find any on the internet though so I'm a bit annoyed. I don't know where else to get them. They are all out of stock or the website isn't there anymore. Drat that, Mrs. Kim! [Gilmore Girls]. I will find you somewhere.
